Your rights under EU consumer law, clearly explained. Last updated: 29 June 2026.
If you are an EU consumer, you have the right to cancel your subscription within 14 calendar days of purchase, for any reason, and receive a full refund — no questions asked.
This right is guaranteed under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and applies to all reggatu subscriptions purchased by consumers resident in the European Union.
The 14-day period begins on the day your subscription payment is confirmed.
To exercise this right, simply contact us within 14 days using any of the methods in Section 2. You do not need to give a reason.
You will receive an email confirmation immediately. If you are within 14 days of purchase, a full refund is processed automatically.
Send an email to info@reggatu.com with the subject line "Cancellation request" and include your registered email address. We will process your request within 1 business day.
You may also use the standard EU withdrawal form. Simply send us a message stating: "I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the reggatu subscription, purchased on [date], by [your email]."
Full refund to your original payment method. Processed within 5–10 business days.
Cancellation stops future charges immediately. No refund for the current billing period, but you retain access until the period ends.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout. Processing times depend on your bank or card issuer (typically 5–10 business days after we initiate the refund).
Refunds are processed through Stripe, our payment processor. Reggatu (CTMC Unipessoal, Lda) is the merchant of record for your purchase — Stripe handles the payment infrastructure, not the sale itself. You will receive an automatic email confirmation from Stripe when the refund is initiated.
Under Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive, the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content that has been fully performed with the consumer's prior express consent and acknowledgment that they thereby lose their withdrawal right.
For the Cloud subscription, we do not invoke this exception — we honour the full 14-day right of withdrawal for all subscribers regardless.
For Local Edition, we do invoke this exception. Because Local Edition delivers a complete, usable download immediately upon purchase, refunding it after delivery would let a buyer keep full access to the product while also getting their money back. At checkout, you're asked to explicitly confirm that you understand this and accept immediate delivery — see our Terms of Service for the exact wording. Local Edition purchases are non-refundable once the download link and license key have been issued.
The following situations are also not eligible for refunds:
reggatu offers a 7-day free trial with no credit card required. The 14-day right of withdrawal period begins only when you make your first paid purchase — not when you start the free trial.
You can cancel your free trial at any time with no charge and no refund needed.
If you cancel within 14 days of your first payment, you receive a full refund and your account returns to the free tier (data is preserved for 30 days).
